Advocacy awareness

The aim of the Advocacy Awareness course is to provide a basic introduction to public private dialogue, private sector advocacy, the five step approach to advocacy and some basic advocacy techniques. It is intended as much as a 'taster' as anything.
By the end of the course, participants should
- Understand what is meant by the enabling environment
- Understand the purpose of advocacy
- Be aware of each of the Five Steps in the advocacy process
- Understand the importance of public private dialogue
- Be able to identify an issue and prepare a concept note
- Have a broad appreciation of a range of advocacy techniques
