In many countries, either businesses directly or business membership organisations have come together to create bodies intended to promote dialogue with the private sector and to make representations from the private sector with a view to improving the investment climate.

The Liberia Public Private Sector Dialogue (LPPD) was launched on 11 July 2007, supported by the government and the private sector to facilitate dialogue on investment climate issues with the explicit objective of realising measurable enhancement of the environment for private sector activity and so creating more jobs and alleviating poverty
